Genesis 25:19-21

The Voice

¹⁹ This is the lineage of Isaac, Abraham’s son. Abraham was of course his father, ²⁰ and Isaac was 40 years old when he married Rebekah (the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, sister of Laban the Aramean). ²¹ Isaac prayed to the Eternal One on behalf of his wife because she wasn’t becoming pregnant. The Eternal granted his prayer, and Rebekah conceived after 20 years.
